Microfinance Officer [SDMI]
Responsibilities:
Responsible for promoting and implementing the Wheels to Work Project, including beneficiary recruitment, loan assessment, processing, collection, and documentation. Ensures proper loan utilization, maintains strong community partnerships, monitors market conditions, supports community development initiatives, trains field staff, and oversees portfolio management to ensure effective project implementation and sustainability.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Cooperatives, Cooperative Management, Entrepreneurship, Marketing or Microfinance (preferred but not required)
- Relevant experience in the same field is highly desirable
- Work experience in an International NGO is an advantage
- Strong discipline in loan processing, collection of payment and savings mobilization
- Knowledgeable in group formation and community organizing
- Able to conduct simple training for group strengthening
- Leadership skills for staff management and community mobilization
- Basic math and analytical skills to understand the story behind the numbers
- Basic office management skill
- Conduct of basic group operation and financial audit
