1,200 Children Receive Medical Care and School Supplies Through SISV CDP Community Initiative

More than 1,200 sponsored children from Sitio Tanag, Barangay San Isidro, Rodriguez, Rizal received free medical consultations, medicines, and school supplies through the SISV Community Development Project's (CDP) Annual Medical Mission, School Supplies Distribution, and General Orientation held on May 25–26, 2026.

The two-day activity provided children with access to healthcare services from volunteer doctors while ensuring they were equipped with essential school materials in preparation for the opening of classes. Parents expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to have their children undergo free medical check-ups and receive quality healthcare services within their community.

The successful implementation of the simultaneous activities was made possible through the collective efforts of volunteer doctors, Good Neighbors Philippines staff, community volunteers, CDP scholars, the Local Government Unit of Barangay San Isidro, the Municipality of Rodriguez through the Municipal Health Office, and generous stakeholder Generika.

In addition to the medical mission and school supplies distribution, a general orientation was conducted for sponsored families. The session provided valuable information about Good Neighbors Philippines’ programs, services, and community development initiatives, helping families better understand the opportunities available to them beyond sponsorship benefits.

The activity reflects the power of collaboration and volunteerism in creating meaningful and sustainable impact. Through the combined efforts of partners, volunteers, and community members, SISV CDP continues to support the well-being, education, and development of children and their families while fostering a more caring, united, and empowered community.
