National University–Asia Pacific College Donates 175 Armchairs to Macabud National High School
October 10, 2026 — Good Neighbors Philippines, in partnership with National University–Asia Pacific College, donated 175 armchairs, along with paint, paintbrushes, and rollers, to Macabud National High School to help provide students with a more comfortable and conducive learning environment.
The initiative benefits 175 high school students, addressing the school’s need for adequate classroom seating, particularly as it serves a community in a remote, upland area.

The turnover was attended by school representatives, students, teachers, and Barangay Chairperson Hon. Juanito P. Catayoc. Led by Ms. Rouvinn Uy Negradas, Head of the Community Extension and Service Office of National University–Asia Pacific College, the activity brought the school community together as participants enthusiastically helped unload the armchairs.
During the ceremony, School Head Michael V. Ramos expressed his gratitude to GNIP and its partners for extending assistance to their school despite its distance from more accessible communities.

Meanwhile, Supreme Secondary Learner Government (SSLG) President Alvin Kean Lagramada shared how meaningful the donation was to students who had experienced sitting on classroom floors due to a shortage of chairs. He expressed hope that the new armchairs would help future students avoid the same experience and allow them to study more comfortably.
With better and more durable chairs, students can now enjoy improved classroom seating that supports their comfort and concentration during lessons.
The initiative reflects the spirit of bayanihan and the value of partnerships in addressing educational needs. Through the support of Good Neighbors Philippines, its partners, and the school community, the donation helps create a more supportive learning environment where students can focus on learning and building a brighter future.
