On April 16, 2026, Mr. Dong Chul Park, Country Director of Good Neighbors Philippines, visited the municipality of Hagonoy, Bulacan for a meaningful field engagement aimed at strengthening partnerships and connecting with local communities.

The visit began with a series of site visits in the island barangays of Tibaguin and Pugad. Mr. Park and the team visited barangay halls, health centers, schools, a daycare center, and local livelihood sites such as fish drying facilities and fish cages. These visits offered a closer look at how community systems work together to support residents, especially in times of challenge. Conversations with local staff highlighted both the realities they face and the resilience they demonstrate in serving their communities.

Goleña of Don Miguel Elementary School, alongside Dr. Lourdes T. Villena, District Supervisor of Hagonoy West. They shared how the organization’s support has contributed to improving the learning environment for children and expressed their appreciation through a plaque of recognition.

The visit also included meetings with local leaders, including Hon. Michael Aniag of Tibaguin and Hon. Jaime Gregorio of Pugad, who emphasized the positive changes brought about by ongoing programs in their communities.
