Thousands of Children Benefit from Medical Mission and School Supplies Distribution in Gigmoto

As part of its commitment to supporting the health and education of sponsored children, our field office in Gigmoto successfully implemented two major Sponsorship Services activities from June 5 to 7, 2026: the Annual Medical Check-up (AMC) and the 2026 School Supplies Distribution.

A total of 1,022 children and 24 adults from nine barangays in Gigmoto received free medical consultations, medicines, and vitamins through the Annual Medical Check-up. The activity aimed to promote the health and well-being of children and their families by identifying health concerns early and providing access to essential healthcare services.

The medical mission was made possible through the partnership of Generika, the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Gigmoto, and dedicated community volunteers who worked together to ensure the successful implementation of the activity.

To further support children's education, 981 sponsored children received essential school supplies in preparation for the upcoming school year. By providing these learning materials, the project helps ease the financial burden on families while encouraging children to start the school year motivated and ready to learn.

The school supplies distribution was carried out with the support of volunteers, the LGU, and partner schools, reflecting the community's shared commitment to ensuring that every child has the opportunity to learn and thrive.

Through these initiatives, Good Neighbors Philippines continues to promote the holistic development of Filipino children by addressing both their health and educational needs, helping create an environment where they can grow, learn, and achieve their full potential.
