Our History

Good Neighbors is an international humanitarian aid and development NGO established in South Korea in 1991 with a vision of fostering a world without hunger, where people live together in harmony. Good Neighbors respects the human rights of our neighbors enduring poverty, disasters, and oppression and strives to empower them toward self-reliance and restoration of hope.

Operating in nearly 200 communities across 50 countries, our organization emphasizes supporting marginalized individuals, with a special focus on children. It prioritizes vulnerable communities for resilient and sustainable development. We achieve this through dedicated humanitarian aid efforts and community-driven development initiatives.

Guided by the aspirations of Good Neighbors, Good Neighbors Philippines was founded in 2008 to support the most vulnerable children and communities, particularly those devastated by poverty and natural disasters. Over time, Good Neighbors Philippines focus has expanded to provide ongoing humanitarian aid and development support, emphasizing community-driven engagement in child protection and education, youth empowerment, health, disaster risk reduction, economic development, and climate change adaptation. The commitment of Good Neighbors Philippines remains steadfast in fostering resilient and sustainable communities in the Philippines.
