Good Neighbors is an international humanitarian and development NGO established in South Korea in 1991. Our mission is to make the world a place without hunger, where everyone can live in harmony. Operating in nearly 200 communities across 50 countries, we focus on empowering marginalized populations, especially children, through humanitarian aid and community-centered development.
Established in 2008, Good Neighbors Philippines provides essential support to vulnerable communities affected by poverty and natural disasters. Guided by our vision—“Empowering People and Transforming Communities” —our work emphasizes child protection, education, health, disaster risk reduction, economic empowerment, and environmental sustainability. Good Neighbors holds General Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (UN ECOSOC) since 1996, a recognition granted to influential global organizations.
We are seeking a Global PR and Communications Consultant to enhance our global communication strategy and brand visibility. This role involves collaboration with Good Neighbors’ Global Partnership Center (GPC) in Seoul, South Korea, and Good Neighbors Philippines. The consultant will lead key projects, including developing global publications, managing advocacy campaigns, and supporting local field operations.
Essential Responsibilities:
1. Global Communications and Campaign Strategy
- Support the development and execution of global PR and communications strategies to amplify Good Neighbors’ mission.
- Collaborate with external agencies to produce high-quality global communication materials such as the annual report and newsletters.
- Manage and enhance global online communication platforms (website, social media, etc.)
2. Brand Awareness and Advocacy
- Strengthen Good Neighbors’ global brand identity and increase public awareness through strategic initiatives.
- Promote and disseminate messages for the Good Neighbors Movement (The “Loving Neighborhood” initiative embodies the value of love through supporting and uplifting marginalized neighbors in need.) globally.
3. Local Engagement and Field Support
- Assist the PR and communications efforts of Good Neighbors Philippines, including supporting local field operations.
- Align global communication initiatives with local programs to ensure consistency and relevance.
Qualifications:
- A deep understanding of Good Neighbors’ mission, vision, and values, with the ability to effectively communicate them.
- 7-10 years of experience in marketing, communications, or public relations, ideally in an international NGO or corporate setting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
- Proven experience in planning and executing marketing and PR campaigns (portfolio required during the interview).
- Exceptional collaboration and communication skills for working with international offices and stakeholders.
- Ability to coordinate remotely with the headquarters in South Korea.
Preferred Skills:
- Proficiency in global campaign strategy development.
- Familiarity with digital communication tools and content creation platforms.
- Strong project management skills with attention to detail and deadlines.
