Korean Financial Industry Foundation and Good Neighbors Philippines Empowers 25 Out-of-School Youth Through Contact Center Services Training in Rizal

Korean Financial Industry Foundation (KFIF) and Good Neighbors Philippines continue to support out-of-school youth (OSY) and unemployed young people in San Isidro, Rodriguez, Rizal, through the Philippines Out-of-School Youth Self-Reliance Support Project.

The initiative aims to strengthen the economic independence and psychosocial well-being of young people by equipping them with practical skills, improving their employability, and preparing them for future career opportunities.

A total of 25 trainees completed the 18-day Contact Center Services NC II training through a hybrid learning approach at Digital Arts Training Center Inc., a TESDA-accredited training institution in Marikina City. The training provided participants with opportunities to strengthen their communication skills, build confidence, and develop competencies relevant to the contact center industry.

Following the technical training, the trainees will undergo employment preparation at Learn Today, Succeed Tomorrow (LTST) in Cubao to further equip them for the job application process and potential employment opportunities.

For 20-year-old Rainalenn R. Sona, one of the trainees, the experience was about more than improving her English communication skills. It was also an opportunity to discover her strengths, recognize areas for improvement, and gain confidence in pursuing her goals.

“Looking back on this training, I realized that I joined not only to improve my English communication skills but also to prepare myself for the future,” Rainalenn shared.

“I am doing this not only for myself but also for my family, especially to help lessen the burden of my father and provide a better future for us,” she added.

For Rainalenn, the training reinforced the value of perseverance and personal growth. She hopes to apply the skills and lessons she gained as she pursues further studies, a future career, and her personal aspirations.

Through the Philippines Out-of-School Youth Self-Reliance Support Project, KFIF and Good Neighbors Philippines aim to strengthen the social and economic independence of out-of-school youth while improving their readiness for employment.
